ComfortDelGro ENGIE Secures EV Charging Partnerships As Singapore's EV Sales Accelerate

  • Local charging network consolidation accelerates as CDG ENGIE receives new mandates from Yinson GreenTech and LHN Energy, bringing its total network to over 2,100 active charge points across Singapore and Malaysia.
  • App users from both Singapore and Malaysia can access chargers through the CDG ENGIE App as the partnership continues to support seamless cross-border charging and ongoing network expansion.
  • Electric vehicle (EV) adoption is rapidly increasing, highlighting the need for robust EV infrastructure.

Singapore, 25 September 2025 – ComfortDelGro ENGIE (CDG ENGIE), a leading provider of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and services in Singapore, has been appointed as the EV charging point operator (EVCO) for multiple sites managed by LHN Energy and Yinson GreenTech.

These appointments represent an important advancement for CDG ENGIE in promoting collaboration within Singapore’s multifaceted EV charging ecosystem. CDG ENGIE is partnering with infrastructure owners, OEM charger distributors, and small to mid-sized EVCOs to optimise network operations and platform solutions, enhancing charging accessibility and utilisation. At these sites, CDG ENGIE will assume operational responsibilities such as system monitoring, hardware maintenance, and user experience oversight.

For EV drivers, this partnership means wider access to charging points, improved reliability, and seamless convenience. Through the CDG ENGIE app, users will be able to tap into a larger network of over 1,600 charge points in Singapore, as well as enjoy cross-border charging with Yinson’s chargEV chargers in Singapore and Malaysia. This integrated ecosystem enables a consistent and reliable charging experience, with a single app and payment platform across both countries.

Mr Freddie Chew, General Manager ComfortDelGro ENGIE, said: “This partnership reflects strong market confidence in our proven track record and operational excellence. Since winning Singapore’s inaugural EV charging tender, we have set ourselves apart as a key partner in delivering reliable, high-performing large-scale EV infrastructure on time. Looking ahead, we believe that we are best placed to support long-term growth and continuous innovation of the EV charging ecosystem with our partners as we leverage each other’s strengths to fulfil market demands.”

EVs accounted for 41% of new car sales in Singapore during the first half of 2025, representing a 63.2% increase compared to the previous year, underscoring the critical need for a robust infrastructure to support this rapid growth. With this partnership, CDG ENGIE will serve as one of the city-state’s largest EV charging networks with over 2,100 charge points across more than 510 locations in Singapore and Malaysia.

The appointments come as Singapore’s EV market shows robust growth momentum, supported by the expected increase in certificate of entitlement (COE) in the coming years and the government’s target to install charging points at all publicly accessible car parks by 2030, in line with its net-zero emissions goal by 2050.
